PingStopper ("the app") is made by PlaySpace Interactive ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: your notifications never leave your phone. There is no account and no cloud storage of your notifications. We use a small number of third-party services for anonymous usage analytics, advertising measurement and subscriptions, described below.
PingStopper needs Android's notification access to silence the apps you choose. With this access, Android shows the app each notification as it arrives. PingStopper uses it only to:
All of this happens on your device. Notification content, titles, message text and the list of apps on your phone are never sent to us or to any third party. Message text is never stored. The log of hidden notifications and the daily counts are kept on your phone for 7 days and then deleted automatically. You can delete them at any time in Stats → Delete log now, and uninstalling the app removes everything.
Your PingStopper settings and log are excluded from Google cloud backup.
The app uses the following services. They receive the information listed, never your notifications or notification content.
We use Amplitude to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. Amplitude receives anonymous usage events, for example that a schedule was set or that the setup screens were completed. It also receives device and app information such as device model, OS version and app version, an app-generated device identifier, and approximate location (country or city) derived from your IP address. On the first-run setup and subscription screens only, Amplitude may record an anonymized, masked session replay of how those screens were used. Events never include the names of apps you mute or any notification content. Amplitude privacy policy.
We run ads for PingStopper on Google Ads. Firebase Analytics lets Google Ads know when someone who installed the app starts a free trial, so we can measure our campaigns. For this, Firebase uses your device's advertising ID and app-instance identifiers. You can reset or delete your advertising ID at any time in your phone's Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Google privacy policy.
Subscriptions are purchased through Google Play. We never see your payment details. RevenueCat manages subscription status for us and receives an anonymous app user ID, your purchase and subscription history (for example plan, trial and renewal status), and basic device and app information. This is used to unlock the app's features and restore your subscription. RevenueCat privacy policy.
Data stored on your phone is deleted after 7 days, when you use Delete log now, or when you uninstall the app. Analytics data held by Amplitude and Firebase is kept according to those services' retention settings and is not linked to your name or contact details. To request deletion of analytics data associated with your device, email us at the address below.
PingStopper is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK or California), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information about you, or to object to its processing. Contact us to exercise these rights.
We may update this policy as the app changes. We'll post the new version on this page and update the effective date.
